I didn't know that there are such colourful birds in Poland. What is more I didn't realise that they live so close to my house. While riding our bikse this morning, my father noticed two goldfinches sitting on a tree. He told me some interesting stories concerning goldfinches from his childhood. Nowadays, unlike in the past, they are under protection in Poland. I think it's great because they are very graceful and beautiful birds.
nigdy nie widziałam na własne oczy tych ptaków..są piękne..cudownie kolorowe ..
ReplyDeleteThose Goldfinches are so awesome looking! They are much different than the Goldfinches I see!
ReplyDeleteYour goldfinches are more colorful than those that we have here in America and in Ohio the state I live in. Mine are all yellow, bright in breeding season for the males and an olive greenish yellow for the females. They have black wing bars and other black spots. I will have to post some on my birds blog or on Flickr so you can see them.
ReplyDeleteMistry Dawn, A-choo... I've checked the goldfinch that you've been talking about, and it is totally different, indeed. Both kinds are equally beautiful, though.
ReplyDeletePchełka... Ja też dzisiaj widziałam szczygły po raz pierwszy w życiu i było to dla mnie dużym zaskoczeniem. Polska jest ostoją wielu gatunków ptaków, o których większość ludzi nie wie:)
They are beauties Joanna, and you've captured them perfectly. I get a few in my garden every day, on the sunflower seed feeders.
ReplyDeleteFabulous captures ~ They are so lovely! Your goldfinches are very different than the ones we have here.
