-18

The title of the following post speaks for itself. I don't care what people say, I like this cold weather. I hope it will kill the cold I caught. Anyway, this weather creates ideal conditions for taking photos of nature.

"FRINGE"

It was great weather: the sun was shining, there was a cloudless sky and... -17 degrees. It was a beautiful day. I was looking for some good views and I found this. A small house in the middle of a village. There would be nothing unusual unless there were icicles about one and a half meter long. If you look at them from the side, they will resemble a fringe.

Look what I found!

This is a leaf I found about 3 years ago. I had Kodak Easy Share Z650 then. This photo was my best one for a long time and I still think that it's the best macro of a leaf that I've ever shot. I have to beat it this year. This is my resolution for the spring of 2010:)

Something new.

This is something completely different from what I've been doing before. These pieces of cutlery were given to us as a present. We got them for Christmas from my parents. They are new, clean and so shiny that I couldn't resist the temptation to take them some pictures. They will be probably hung in our kitchen:)

By the way, what do You think of them?

Monday's hoar-frost

The most amazing morning happened yesterday. It was extremely cold (like - 16 degrees), and the sun was rising beautifully. That's the only kind of winter I like: cold and sunny. The trees were covered with hoar-frost so that everything looked like taken out stright from a fairytale.
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to show the real impression of that morning in my pictures. I still have to learn a lot.

New Year's drops:)

As the weather was awful yesterday, I was taking photos at home. These are the results. I think the biggest disadvantage of the first two is the fact that the reflection of three bulbs from my lamp can be noticed.
