Flying beauties

During working on my website I accidently found a folder with photos from a rehabilitation center for injured birds. I posted some photos form that place a few months ago. It turned out that there were many photos that I didn't have time to work with, so I decided to post them now. Correct me if I'm wrong with the names of the birds as there were so many species that I might have forgotten some of them.

The Autumn 2010 is over

We have had a very beautiful, sunny and warm Autumn this year. Unfortunately it's definitely over. Another cold has visited our home. Through sneezing and coughing I want to show you the last Autumn image I've taken in November.

Demianowska Cave of Liberty

I don't have much time to take photos lately, so today I would like to show you pictures from The Demianowska Cave of Liberty. It is located in Slovakia. It is the most beautiful cave I've ever seen. It's full of various stalactites and small lakes. It is also very colourful. There are different colours of rocks on it's walls from orange to almost white. I recommend this place to everyone. Unfortunately, to take photos there you have to pay 10 Euro and it is forbidden to use a tripod, but it's worth its price.

The colours of Autumn

We are having a beautiful Autumn this year. The colours are beautiful and it is so warm. I don't remember such sunny All Saints' Day, which was last Sunday in Poland.
Anyway... these are the photos that I managed to take during our trip to a nearby forest.

The 15th National Show of Purebred Dogs in Rybnik - Kamień (Oct 3, 2010).

I'm suffering from the chronic lack of time, lately. That is why I'm showing you these photos so late. The 15th National Show of Purebred Dogs tok place on October 3rd. The weather was wonderful. It was quite warm and the sun was shining the whole day. This is what we saw there:)

The inscription on the wall says: "To be, or not to be: that is the question"... this dog seems to consider these words:)

Our first visitors of this Autumn

These little fellows are our first visitors which came to our feeders this Autumn. They appeared in the second day after we placed the feeders. The Great Tits are the most numerous species. . There were about ten of them once. The Great Tits aren't the only birds that visited us, though. Except from Sparrows, a bird called Greenfinch has appeared. Thank You for the identification of this bird, Keith.

Autumn forest - part two

These are the three pictures I was trying to put in the previous post, I had some trouble with it, though. Anyway, I decided to place them in a separate post.

These photos were taken in a forest in Rybnik. I didn't know there is such a beautiful place in the middle of a town of 140000 inhabitants.
I will publish a few more photos from that sunday morning when the blogger system gets fixed. It's kind of broken today:/

There were a few Kestrels in Ustroń. They were very eager to pose and very patient.

Tatras

Today I would like to come back to our holidays. The weather was beautiful today so I started to think about this beautiful summer we had here in Poland this year. It was pretty hot and sometimes we were fed up with it, but it was still summer:)

But now, the Tatra mountains... I wish I was there now...
